The Outreach Ministry team lifts up to the congregation both world-wide missions and areas of concern in our own neighborhood. We believe in hands-on mission projects where members of the congregation can interact with people in need, who are sometimes our own neighbors. WORLDWIDE

donation. The funds were used for the completion of

Parsonage in India The parsonage not only houses the pastor and his family, it also provides room for visiting missionaries and preachers on the 2nd floor.
BELOW: A front view of the parsonage. The parsonage was was finished in the Spring of 2005 and and the church members in India had the honor of opening the home at a dedication ceremony.
There are even more worldwide missions that UMC in Madison is involved with -
OUR OWN NEIGHBORHOOD Fair Trade. We sell "Fair Trade" coffee in a project organized by the United Methodist Committee On Relief (UMCOR) to help indigenous farmers to earn a living wage. Heart 'n Hand. Program which provides meals, transportation and comfort to individuals in need in our own congregation and community. Interfaith Food Pantry. We collect food to be donated. A few times a year, our youth groups restock the Morristown distribution center. Morris County Interfaith Hospitality Network. A faith-based shelter for homeless families. RISE. (Risingville Intercommunity Service Effort) This summer we will be sending a work group to help people in need living in upper New York State to improve their homes. SCEEP. (Suburban Cultural Educational Enrichment Program) Tutoring program for youth from Newark Chancellor Avenue School. Soup and Bread Lunches after Sunday morning worship service. At these times of fellowship we invite speakers to round table discussions on many topics, including "Women and Aids in Africa," "The Changing Face of Mission," and "The Continuing Crisis in New Jersey Child Care." University Connection. Provides "goody bags" to our neighboring university students at Drew, Fairleigh Dickinson and St. Elizabeth's. Distributed after Sunday morning service and at the monthly evening service.

attracts a large percentage of non-members from our
